When I teach courses about Making Death Our Ally, I tell participants to write a brief inscription or epitath for their own tomb stone. Mine is: "She was in service to the sacred" (in its myriad of manifestations). For me shamanism and sacred art are a way of life - not just a profession! My blogs are about what comes to attention (to me personally or in our world at large) and I will often offer a shamanic or spiritual perspective on world events or big ontological questions. I also share sacred art videos, travels and exciting teaching projects or events I present on! Please note that for years I wrote regular blogs, about a large variety of spiritual subjects, on my wordpress site: https://imeldaalmqvist.wordpress.com/. (You will still find them all there). I also write monthly blogs on my publisher's website (Moon Books) but only recently did I decide to bring all my activities "home" (as it were) and group them under the umbrella of this website - that is why there is now a blog right here!

Imelda Almqvist is an international teacher of shamanism and sacred art. Her book Natural Born Shamans: A Spiritual Toolkit For Life (Using shamanism creatively with young people of all ages) was published by Moon Books in 2016 and her second book Sacred Art: A Hollow Bone for Spirit (Where Art Meets Shamanism) will be published in March 2019. She was a presenter on the Shamanism Global Summit in both 2016 and 2017 and is a presenter on Year of Ceremony with Sounds True. She divides her time between the UK, Sweden and the US. She is currently working on her third book Medicine of the Imagination. www.shaman-healer-painter.co.uk (website) https://imeldaalmqvist.wordpress.com/ (blog) https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=imelda+almqvist (YouTube channel: interviews, presentations and art videos)
